About six months ago I started painting this unit of Cimmerian Warriors for my Hyborian collection and they have sat in the cupboard waiting patiently to get finished . However this week I felt like painting something different so I got them out and they are now completed . They came with a 'factory paint job' and I have added shading and highlights, spruced them up and painted various shield designs and given them a coat off gloss varnish to protect them . Now to get them in action on the tabletop .
Excellent painting skills Tony! The details on the two command figures are amazing! Very well done indeed!
ReplyDeleteThanks think I took extra care on those two
DeleteThey look the bees knees Tony, there is something about flats that really appeals to me.
ReplyDeleteRegards,
Paul.
Yes flats have a certain style
DeleteGreat looking unit... Well done.
ReplyDeleteThanks, they took some time to get done, I have to be in the mood to paint flats
DeleteThey do honor to their famous countryman, Conan!
ReplyDeleteYes I need a suitable hero figure

Thank you, I find them challenging but like the results
DeleteLovely looking unit. Is their battle cry Rose of Cimmerian? :)
ReplyDeleteNow that's an idea !
DeleteI find the Vallejo textured paint great for basing.
ReplyDeleteYes it's good isn't it ! .
DeleteGlorious! May they roll high and inspire fear in their enemies!
ReplyDeleteI hope so , in my experience newly painted troops ALWAYS do poorly in their first few battles .
DeleteThese look great!
ReplyDeleteI was so pleased to read that you have part-finished things in the cupboard that you bring out when the time/inspiration suits. Snap!
Regards, James
Yes I have a box of shame where things have to wait their turn , sometimes it's longer than I think .
