Been plugging away at my plastic ECW 54mm figures and got this gun and crew done . The gun is a metal pencil sharpener with the sharpener removed , painted and varnished . Am finding this hot weather not very conducive to painting so my productivity has dropped - roll on the wet weather ! .
Somehow most appropriate, and charming, that a pencil sharpener should evolve into such a "prize of warre."
ReplyDeleteBeen in my 'spares' box for ages - fits the part perfectly .
DeleteNice work there on the ECW 54s...Pencil Sharpener? I never would have guessed! Good going Tony. Cheers. KEV.
ReplyDeleteNo it looks to accurate to be a sharpener don't it .
DeleteNice pice of ordnance; nicely painted crew
ReplyDeleteGoing for the toy soldier look.
DeleteBeautiful crew and gun Tony! They will serve you well in upcoming games I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteHope to get them on the tabletop soon.
DeleteVery nice. A lot of those bronze coloured sharpeners are really useful. A friend used a steam engine one in large numbers for his 15mm Victorian sci fi games. I'm with you on rain over sun... This hot weather stops one doing much.
ReplyDeleteGot a Gatling gun with the same deal, remarkable models really, yes I'm getting bored with all this fine weather (grumpy old man mode)
DeleteI know what you mean about slow painting in the heat ....
ReplyDeleteMy 'wet palate' is struggling ! .
DeleteGreate gunne dunne excellentle!
ReplyDeleteIndeede !
DeleteWell, certainly a very good gun at the least....
ReplyDeleteThose pencil sharpener models are surprisingly big and so very handy .
