There has been a temporary halt to blogging as I had to move the computer desk and disassemble the computer for repairs and household painting - but normal service has been renewed . I've got the first French infantry unit done and jolly nice they look - you can't beat red trousers !
Another problem was printing off a suitable flag for them - my printer went wonky in only the way printers can when you desperately want something printing , however having spent a couple of hours cursing it - it suddenly decided to print - it was probably my lack of knowledge of printers and not some evil spirit that inhabits them - but ........
I also got their first General done and here we see being served a drink by the regimental Vivandiere - this is a 'Willie' figure from Tradition , each unit will have it's own and will be able to roll a 'save' dice on any casualties suffered
A fine looking regiment Tony. The vivandiere is very nice and adds colour.
ReplyDeleteYes i like that figure, very feminine.
DeleteC'est magnifque
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying painting these figures.
DeleteThey're very pretty, but can they fight ? ( or roll well...)
ReplyDeleteIf I get a few more painted I'll find out
DeleteA very fine shiny body of men - and a great touch having the d6 support and succour of a Vivandiere.
ReplyDeleteShe's too nice a figure not to get involved.
DeleteNice and shiny, with some serious moustache action going on there. Splendid stuff!
ReplyDeleteHave to have Gallic moustaches
DeleteLovely work, they look great and the Vivandiere is a cracking figure, can't beat the French uniform it's a belter!
ReplyDeleteThank you , yes the French uniform was at it's best in this era I think.
DeleteHow very Belle Epoque!
ReplyDeleteYes very!
DeleteYou're right Tony, you can't beat red trousers! They look outstanding and the Vivandiere is a unique, beautiful figure! I can't wait to see them in action!
ReplyDeleteYes I'm looking forward to getting them on the tabletop.
