First Fruits of TDFTP.

 


Been a busy week in the garden but I've cracked on and got the first contingent of the Prussians done .


They are of course 28mm Irregular Miniatures , I managed to find a 'match pot' of the green I painted my base board and hills with and so painted their bases to match and have given everything a smart gloss varnish.


They are very easy to paint and I've painted them in brighter colours as the Prussian blue and grey is meant to be quite dark . Luckily the rifles are a bit 'vague' on the castings so they will do for anytime between 1860- 1900 .


And a sneak peak at their Gallic opposition with this test figure.

      Thanks, they paint up quickly and all mistakes are hidden by a coat of gloss.

    Excellent results! I rather doubt that anyone who would be inclined to take exception with whether the rifles on these figures are "correct" or not probably wouldn't be interested in this style of gaming, anyway (sort of a self-correcting issue). They're fine!

    Hello Tony, good to see your FPW collection shaping up. Proper shiny!

    I noted in passing whilst on the Tradition of London (Scandinavia) site that a very limited number of 30mm SSM type SAE (Madeira) figures from HE Holger Eriksson are still in production as metal figures, which could be useful for some charcaters / variety. These would probably be close to what Donald Featherstone had in his FPW armies?
