Somebody asked how I became interested in gaming the French Foreign Legion their involvement in North Africa , the site that inspired me was -http://www.warflag.com/shadow/index.html
, real 'Old School' Colonial gaming and a mine of information.
The Red Shadow brings back gaming memories! I participated in a Red Shadow game hosted by Ian Croxall at Enfilade! (gaming convention in Washington State, USA) back in the late 1990's. My faint memory holds that I took the role of The Red Shadow and won the day in a bold attack against a port city! I wonder if I still have photos from that game?

ReplyDeleteI am envious of you sir!, it would be interesting to see the photos, gaming in those days had a style all of it's own, Tony
DeleteI had completely forgotten about those. That was a great blog.
ReplyDeleteAn excellent site !, Tony
DeleteAhhh, those were the days, the prebloghing ring of websites, the Red Shadow, The Major General in particular.
ReplyDeleteThe Major General's site got me into Colonial N.W. Frontier , you don't get sites like that nowadays , Tony
ReplyDeleteThat site was an absolute corker!
