Blue Army Hussars- The Brandenburgers.

Got the Blue Army Hussars done and was going to do a photoshoot outdoors - but it's pouring down ! . So here they are with a seasonal feel. They will be taking to the tabletop this week when 'S' is calling round for a game. (click on photo to enlarge)

  5. The hussars look terrific and paint a great scene for the festivities. Are they heading for the barracks and Christmas dinner or riding out to attend a Christmas ball? Have a good Christmas yourself.

  7. Given their red livery and the time they entered the establishment they might be nicknamed "Die Weihnachtshusaren": Seasons Greetings!

  8. Splendid figures - fingers crossed they don't suffer from the hex on 'newly painted figures' in your upcoming game.

  9. Beautiful & Christmasy photo.

I used to have 2 of these (yep just 2) but when I was in my "Model Soldier" days in the 70's, I converted one into a Bengal lancer with lance strung on its strap behind his arm, and the other, .... the one with the broken leg.... into....something. I still have the one sepoy sans lance and no idea yet how to fit him into my current forces without a complete make over. Some veteran officer's servant from his India days I suppose.

    1. Sadly the weather isn't now, damp and dull. Curious figure whilst painting them I noticed they are unarmed!?, not even a sword - very odd.
