Planning for 2016.

Just been looking at last years plans for gaming/painting in 2015 and I must admit I did stick to my intentions - well more or less . This year I'm NOT starting any new projects (Hmm! how long will that last?) I may expand on existing ones (reinforcing success) but the emphasis will be painting up figures I have already got - such as finishing off my Napoleonic lead pile - I have lessened it this year but there are still figures to paint . I am also going to try to find a way to use some of the figure that don't get used very often such as my Conquistador/Aztec's and the Bronze Age collection which I think I will revamp and use with a variation of 'Lion Rampant' rules . On the 'home cast' front I would like to do a few more 40mm SYWish and expand my 54mm 'Toy Soldier' figures - these will need suitable terrain to go with them . This year I think I will be using the rule sets that I've found the most successful ie 'Black Powder', 'Bolt Action' , 'TSATF' and 'Lion Rampant' a s these are the ones I can remember easily and they play well. It will be interesting to look at this entry in a years time and see if I've stuck to my plan .

    I'm looking forward to the Conquistadores and their Axtec allies/minions stumble on a lost Bronze Age civilization game.

    Hi Tony- yes, there area number of ways to look at forward planning...either capitulating and accepting to: "The Best Plans Are Made In Vain"...OR, going with: "Planning IS Everything!"...I tend to be an advocate of the latter....however, what my Project is from time to time is something I tend not to have a lot of control over...I tend to be distracted - often loose interest- and always seem to be tempted to do yet another Project to prove to myself I can do better...I'm often in a lost state! However- Common Sense has recently come to the Rescue- THIS MONTH - I have begun my 25mm COLONIAL PROJECT...and I'd have to say I am so happy with it that I can for-see next year (2016)as being a Year of doing nothing else but 25mm COLONIAL....So, what I am trying to say TONY - is try to do whatever you are most Happy with- and this is probably the most important desire to satisfy.       Yes- being easily distracted is one of the reasons why I tend not to make long term plans...do like Your idea Tony -to expand your 54mm Toy Soldier Collection. KEV.
