Featherstoneian Seven Years War Rules (First Draft).
Here are the first draft of my Featherstoneian SYW Rules , there are bound to be spelling mistakes and things wrong with them , but I'm off to try them out with a small game to see how they play .
These look great! I also tinkered with my own set of Featherstone-inspired SYW rules Friday and Saturday. Not quite there either, but getting very close.
Tony, Now if I were playing 7YW - these Featherstonian Rules would most certainly do! I cannot cope with Rules that are longer than two pages...simple straight forwards Rules - that is for me. Have fun Play-Testing. Regards. KEV.
Thank you for sharing these. They look like great fun.
ReplyDeleteGoing to give them a test, they may need altering after playing them, Tony

Thanks, I do like rules I can remember in my head without constantly checking the rule book, Tony
DeleteTony- I hope to write a set of 2-Page rules for my Garden 54mm WW1 Battles - it is all a long way off yet though...still making Tanks. Regards. KEV.
DeleteLook forward to seeing them ,Tony
DeleteHi Tony
ReplyDeleteThese look interesting. Couple of thoughts.
I think the long range musketry range looks a bit long. I would go for 12-18 inches.
All heavy cavalry are the same with no difference between Cuirassier and Dragoons. You could Cuirassier an extra 1 on their saving throws.
I like the change to the artillery as this tones their effect a tad.
I will give these rules a game with my son and see what he thinks.
Mark
Was wondering about the musket range, Cuirassier do get a better save cavalry 456, Cuirassier 3456, interested in any feedback, Tony
