I decided to make a couple of 'Fortune of War' markers for my games. Here is the Prussian one , the marker is 2D metal , . At the start of the game both sides roll a D6 and put it on the marker, the points can be used to add too and alter dice rolls during the game - +1 to add a point to a dice score or pay for a reroll . The Prussian General has rather poor luck with only a 1 !
The French General however has scored a 6 and will use these to his advantage in the forthcoming game.
I really like your generals and markers Tony! They look great and will add a new dimension to your games!
ReplyDeleteI have used the same idea for my Featherstone Ancients
DeleteUseful as well as looking good on the tabletop. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteI don't like loose dice on the tabletop, they tend to get mixed up and forgotten.
DeleteNice idea Tony, and they look very nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I used a similar idea for my Ancient O.S. collection.
DeleteVery nice work and a cracking idea, I like them a lot, very useful.
ReplyDeleteThank you , I've hd the pieces laying around for ages and it's nice to get them used .
DeleteThe markers are nice...and so is the concept...could easily be used to represent better C &C...assign the numbers rather than a random dice roll!
ReplyDeleteYes they have a multitude of uses.
DeleteReally inventive: I've always been a proponent of having information on the table, which can rise above the level of "litter" if done with a bit of imagination (like this!).
ReplyDeleteYes i always get the dice mixed up and end up rolling them and loosing count of the moves.
