Started reading Goldsworthy's "The Fall of Carthage " and thought I should play through the the battles using C&C Ancients , I have played most of the scenarios before but it will be interesting reading along . The first is The Battle of Akragas - 406 BC between the Carthagians under Himlico and the Syracusians commanded by the Tyrant Daphaeus , historically the Carthagians lost badly. I will be using the clever solo adaptation by "Stuka Jo" .
It sounds like a very interesting book, Tony. I too, love to read history books and then reenact the moment on the war game table, it's great fun! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteC&C is very quick and easy and the only boardgame I really like.
DeleteAn interesting program. Of course, you run the risk of having to rewrite the book :)
ReplyDeleteYes that is a risk, enjoying the games .
DeleteGood idea! Hard to go wrong with Goldsworthy AND C&C:A!
