It has been busy few days and I've got the French artillery done , again Irregular Miniatures 28mm .
And the Prussian artillery as well .
I'm not totally sold on the idea of basing the guns , but without it the figures rather tower over them , so we will see how they look during gameplay . I've got the cavalry for both sides to do next which I fear will take a bit longer .....
Wow Tony! You are a lean, mean, painting machine! Both sets are beautiful and I agree with you, the gun should be on the same level as the gunners. Very well done!
ReplyDeleteThe figures are quite simple to paint and I must admit I'm on a bit of a roll paintwise !
DeleteLovely work on both sets of artillery, the base for the gun works well for me, looks good. I am really impressed with the Irregular figures for your project, they really have that "old school" look that works so well.
ReplyDeleteThanks , Irregular are a bit old fashioned compared to modern figures but I like them for the ease of painting and superb mail order
DeleteThey look excellent Tony!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteI tried a few years (decades?) ago to just jack up the wheels and trail with a small bit of thick card or balsa. It was ok but occasionally got in the way of the Gunners and looked odd.
ReplyDeleteThe jury's out on the basing, I'll see how it looks on the tabletop.
DeleteThe project is moving along smartly--and the figures are certainly smart as well!
ReplyDeleteThanks , yes I'm pleased with the progress so far .
DeleteVery nice painting there Tony- IRREGULAR figures are excellent - I may end up doing the CRIMEA using the IRREGULAR 15mm figures.
ReplyDeleteThey do some nice figures and have an excellent mail order service.
