Well after a busy week of 'real life' I've manged to get the first Prussian Infantry Regiment done . It comprises of 18 infantrymen, drummer, standard bearer and 2 officers.
I also painted up the first Prussian Brigadier , again an Irregular Miniature .
Here he is inspecting the Regiment on parade.
Having found 'all correct' they march off to barracks , I've started painting up the French and am thinking about the next order to Irregular . I have sent an order to Tradition for some of their 'Willie' figures for the armies High Command.
Super parade of the first regiment for your project, really very nice work and I like the miniatures a lot. The brigadier is a haughty looking chap, he won;t stand for any slacking that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteThey have turned out well , I think the gloss varnish finishes them off.
DeleteGreat work Tony, these figures really look right for a Shiny Toy Soldier game.
ReplyDeleteThanks , busy painting up the opposition now.
Deletevery nice
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteGlossy and glorious!
ReplyDeleteGotta love shiny figures.
DeleteThey look splendid and would pass inspection easily. Who makes them?
ReplyDeleteThey are Irregular Miniatures 28mm , who are renowned for their quick mail order service.
DeleteVery nice....I need some Prussian infantry to fill out my own Germanic toy soldier army...but in 54mm. Those would be ideal if a little larger lol
ReplyDeleteFor my 54mm I ended up using 54mm Prince August 'Toy soldier ' mold and Irregular 54mm Prussian heads from their 'bits' range.
DeleteThese are excellent figures Tony - great job of painting- well done.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kev , I'm enjoying painting them , nice and simple figures.
DeleteYou're off to a great start Tony! The gloss paint makes all the difference! I can't wait to see their opposition!
ReplyDeleteYes I'm pleased how it's going , a gloss coat covers a lot of faults .
