Fascinating. I really like the idea of a gaming mat with fixed terrain...must stem back to the days I had hardboard sheets my Dad had painted rivers and woods on for my Airfix battles.
Well, mine are a step down, just painted fields, roads, woods and streams with the vegetation being added on top but it does help speed set up and suggest scenarios.
or navigation training? Visual model vs map? maybe with a camera flying over the table in a primitive sort of way for navigation training? or yes possibly for practice at bomb target location???
