Just when you thought you had got your head round Blogger -

They have just  announced an new edition of Blogger . In late June, the new Blogger interface will become the default for all users. The legacy interface will still be available as an option. We recommend trying the new interface by clicking 'Try the new Blogger' in the left-hand navigation. Please file any critical issues encountered.

  1. I tried it and found that if I went to any blog on my reading list I had to click on a redirect link to get there. Other than that it seemed OK but I reverted to the legacy interface.

  2. Hi Tony- I found the same as Paul- it IS rubbish...Lord knows why you would want to change a good thing- beyond my reasoning. Cheers. KEV.

  3. Hi Tony - I'm using the New Blogger interface now - it's OK - it shows some things you couldn't see before, but it doesn't show which pages have called - I like to keep an eye open to spot when I get lambasted by the TMP brigade, so I can put on my thick skin, but maybe I'm just as happy not knowing who's visiting.

It seems OK - don't be afraid, just switch over. It's not like Google+ or anything - you don't need an operation.

    1. I’m in agreement with Tony. I made the switch yesterday. While the look and interface are different, I can quickly acclimate to the new environment. The new interface includes a number of new statistics and more editing options.

MSFoy, referring URLs can still be tracked. Click on the “More about this blog’ link.

  4. Just saw that notice this morning. I'm going to wait until the absolute last minute to change to allow as many bugs to get worked out as possible before I have to deal with it.

  5. I'm in the 'last minute' camp. I will let the early adopters iron out the bugs = assuming anyone is listening to them. So, thanks in advance to messrs Freitag and Foy!

    1. Note that this NEW Blogger interface will only become the default. The legacy interface will still be available. You can toggle back and forth between NEW and LEGACY now without issue.

    2. I just checked. The legacy interface will remain available through July but not after that. So the ability to choose will end then.

  6. Same with Wordpress ... less functionality in the text editing. Everything moved around AKA "hidden", whizzy new modern graphics for the toddlers "lol". *sigh*. Has the limit of 12 pages on Blogger been increased yet?

    Kind regards, Chris

  9. The continual change effect creeps into all software - I find it annoying sometime. Tried out new interface on one of my blogs - looks more mobile centric - not too much of a change. Someways better. I'll wait till they inflict on me by default :)
