I thought I'd start painting the 40mm Indians - and my black undercoat spray can ran out after one spurt !!!! Blast ! - so I've had to manually undercoat them - how retro , takes me back 20 odd years ago before spray cans .
Ah- the old spray can not enough paint left Trick! The other one is when the Nozzle is clogged - and the can is full of un-used paint. Look forward to seeing the finished product. KEV.
Funny, but I've never got on with spray cans....the last time I tried with a GW black undercoat, the paint dried greyish and pooled over the figure. Manually undercoating is very boring but I often find you get a chance to find un-noticed detail on the figure.
Can you believe it :)

ReplyDeleteYes spray cans are the bane of my modelling life ! , Tony
DeleteI always save a spare nozzle or two from empty functioning cans for just this mishap.
DeleteHave thought about a air brush for undercoating , but know nothing about them , Tony

ReplyDeleteI think you have to be organised (which I'm not) with spraying using a can and get lots of figures ready and done at once to maximise usage . Tony
