'A' called around for a belated Christmas game and we played a game of 'Honours of War'
It was a bit of a re-learning process for us both , but we soon started remembering the rules .
My gun and crew line up for their next shot , we where using my 28mm Wofun 2D collection , I took the Austrians and 'A' the Prussians .
After some initial set backs 'A's force counterattacked and my force was beaten . It was a good game and helped to remind us why we like these rules as they are quick and easy to play . Hopefully the first of many successful games this year
A good start to the year. A SYW game with big battalions. What's not to like?

ReplyDeleteBeing flats they are not to everyones liking , but it's a quick way of getting armies on the tabletop.
DeleteSYW has always been in the back of my head. But collecting and painting a lace wars collection...has always been a bridge too far. Wofun might be the way to go if I ever do dive in. Nice to see the holiday game come 'round again.
