The phrase "you'll have someone's eye out with that"! comes to mind. I'm not sure I would want to chip the paint off my figures. Found and copied from Facebook- Britains Toy Soldiers.
A really wonderful find Tony! This game was a big deal to Britains and they thought it was the future of toy soldiers! They changed the bases on their infantry figures from round to rectangular to fit into the Beiser bases on the card! These bases locked the figures in and flipped the figure over when hit! This advertisement is a great piece of toy soldier history indeed!
A very interesting one, not come across this before, and I have to agree that I'm not too sure about shooting nicely painted troops!
ReplyDeleteNo Health and Safety then !
DeleteI want to know more. I really do.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the Gal gets a go !?

ReplyDeleteYes I've heard of the Beiser bases , but the first time I've seen them advertised.
