If Colonel*Lincoln Logge's somewhat eccentric memoirs are to be believed he had many adventures during the Great Patio War, so I decided to try and reproduce one of these on the tabletop. The Colonel leads a small force on a patrol across the Patio .
He has a small group of loyal Patiogonian Indians as advance scouts.
However their every move is being watched by hostile warriors.
Big Chief Escargot Killer has planned to ambush his arch-enemy.
He has enlisted the aid of Army Blue , Von Zeppelin and two units of Jeagers.
The table is set and the game will follow.......
PS*. Where the rank and title Colonel came from is a mystery?
I came across an interview in the Rockeries Courier, where Logge claimed that his commission as colonel was granted when he led the KFC (Knotweed Frontier Chasseurs) during the Border War. Though which side he fought on wasn't clear, and a researcher at Moose Jaw University has been unable to find any mention of such a unit in official records.
ReplyDeleteYes his military rank is a mystery, thanks for the additional info though.
DeleteA wonderful start Tony! It does look like the Colonel could be in for a rude awakening! I look forward to the next installment!!
ReplyDeleteNice to get the toys on the tabletop again.
DeleteA cracking start, be interested to see how thi one turns out, can see it going both ways!
ReplyDeleteYes the forces are evenly matched I think.

ReplyDeleteThanks , game in progress
DeleteA classic setup, complete with Panto "Baddies" ("Look out, Colonel Logge!")
ReplyDelete"He's behind you!"
DeletePanto Baddies! I think not. I shall be booing Colonel Logge and cheering for von Zeppelin. Now if only I can convince everyone else not to give the game away by telling Logge "They're behind you!".
ReplyDeleteOh no he isn't!
