A rather smart Victorian/Edwardian boy with a very nice fort and collection of Britains (?) figures , freshly reaped from Facebook . I must stress it's not a photo of my good self as a child, although I do come from when the world was in black and white .
Fantastic image - proud owner (Sunday best?), impressive castle, figures and terrain.

Strangely at odds with the brick terrace garden? I have a couple of pictures of family photographed in a similar back yard / garden.
Interesting photo , obviously a prized possession .
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific photo. Is the castle sitting on a cloth base that was rigged up for the photo or do you think it more permanent?
ReplyDeleteYes I was wondering about that !? , is it a cushion or blanket ?
DeleteI wonder if the fort was home made or bought?
ReplyDeleteHmm! looks very professionally done however it was made.
DeleteAnother beautiful picture Tony, great find! He was a very fortunate child indeed, to have such a wonderful collection of toys!
ReplyDeleteYes he was obviously very proud of it .
DeleteCould be my grandfather! But I don't think so.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo!
Very interesting picture , I'd love to know the story behind it .
