Painting other peoples figures

 


Things are on hold here at the moment as I'm painting up some figures for 'A' , they are 1866 Bavarians in 28mm from North Star . It's a while since I painted any 28mm figures so it was a bit of a culture shock - soooo small compared with 54mm or even 40mm - rather hard work .  (click on photo to enlarge)

    Hi TONY,
    Good going there on the Bavarians- yes, 28mm is a lot more harder to paint than 54mm (1/32nd). I find a Magnifying Glass is very useful for 28mm. Cheers. KEV.

      Have tried a magnifyng glass but I can't get my hand/eye coordination right .

    Beautiful paint job Tony, you are great at details and I love that Bavarian blue! I went to the Dollar Store and bought the strongest pair of reading glasses that they had for $1. They are great when I paint 10mm and 15mm figures!

      They are perhaps a bit bright , but I wanted them to stand out on the table top , think my days of painting small figures are over - I much prefer 40mm +

      Thank you it's a while since I painted any 28mm stuff , I find them a bit small nowadays .
