One of the advantages of this spell of hot weather is that is ideal for varnishing toy soldiers. This is my latest batch - the last of the French Infantry (for now) , the 3rd Battalion of the 2nd Legere and a French Cavalry General on a new 'dramatic' horse care of my wargaming collegue 'S' who is the proprietor Hinchliffe models and has kindly provided me with the General Staff . Some better photos to follow once they are dry.

I love the gloss Tony, and that General is a very dashing figure indeed!
ReplyDeleteThe gloss covers up the mistakes 😃
DeleteLoverly and beautifully shiny, especially Eugène (I presume?).
ReplyDeleteBest wishes, James
Can't remember the chaps name at the moment , but it's from that famous painting.
DeleteLooking great in their glossy coats and the Hinchliffe general is a cracking figure.
ReplyDeleteThey do nice Generals which luckily are about the right size.
DeleteShiny happy people!
ReplyDeleteCan't beat shiny
DeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteThank you , I'm enjoying this project .
DeleteNothing like a shiny Hinchliffe figure to add a touch of class; that's a very handy friend you have there.
ReplyDeleteSadly think the rank and file are to large , but you can get away with the generals.
