Before I start on the next Cavalry units I thought I would treat myself painting the Command bases for the two armies . Here we see the Prussian High Command , these are Tradition figures from their 1871-1919 Imperial German range
They are beautiful crisp figures , not expensive although the postage from Sweden is a bit eyewatering , but very quick . Next up the French .

They are beautifully Prussian looking - well done!
ReplyDeleteTradition do some brilliant figures , not to expensive but heavy on the postage from Sweden .
DeleteWonderful castings Tony, with an excellent paint job! I look forward to seeing their French counterparts!
ReplyDeleteThe French are up next !
DeleteWell done sir!
ReplyDeleteThanks , the base needs tidying up though .
DeleteThey look very nice, late 19th Century German uniforms are, IMO, amongst the smartest. Not sure though that it's a good idea to put the Kaiser on the command base?
ReplyDeleteYes the German uniforms of this era are the bees-knees , his presence will hide my mistakes .
DeleteThey are rather lovely - 'ooh, shiny' as they say! Well worth spending a bit for an impressive amy command stand, it must surely raise the troops' morale..
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful figures and the varnish helps hide any painting mishaps .
DeleteThe white-kolletted figure in the Garde Du Korps helmet (perhaps the Kaiser?) really elevates the vignette--very Prussian and very Toy Soldier!
ReplyDeleteThink it is modeled from a painting of the Kaiser .
DeleteLovely figures and very nicely done, great job on them.
ReplyDeleteThank you , they are nice figures to paint.
